FEHM THE SEA TO COME

Leeds post-punk enthusiasts FEHM have unveiled the brooding b-side to last month's 'Scarborough Warning'. Channelling the murky swells of goth icons The Cure, Joy Division and Siouxsie and the Banshees, 'The Sea To Come' is a chorus-heavy slice of eighties nostalgia with a distinctly lighter tone. Anchored by singer Paul Riddle's commanding vocal performance and longing chorus line "Take it away", 'The Sea To Come' marries roomy drums with undulating flangers and delicate synthesizers. Giving some extra insight, the band explained,"'The Sea To Come' is primarily a love song written in an unconventional way. It flutters through times of struggle whilst knowing, whoever it may be, at any cost, will always be there for you." FEHM play their local Brudnell Social Club tonight before setting off further a field to Newcastle, Manchester and finally London's Shacklewell Arms, where they'll be supported by TMR faves Bo Gritz-Holly Mullineaux
